We can currently offer the following courses. All are suitable for both punchard and electronic machines.
OCN 1 Basic Techniques in Stocking Stitch Knitting
Course takes 2 months minimum Level 1 Credit value 1
Basic techniques for Beginners. Takes the knitter from setting up the machine to knitting a round necked garment in stocking stitch. Based on lessons 1-12 of video no. 1
OCN 2 Pattern Knitting Level 2 Credit value 3
Course takes 4½ months minimum
All the stitches that can be knitted with the main carriage, and knitting two garments, a V-necked sweater in fairisle, and a round -necked sweater in tuck stitch. Both garments are knitted following a written pattern. Based on video 1 - lessons 13 -15, video 2 - lessons 1-8 & 12, and, for Silver electronics, videos 4 & 5.
OCN 3 Knitting with the Charting Device Level 2 Credit value 2
Course takes 3 months minimum
Drawing a block for the charting device (Knit radar, Knit contour, Knit leader and Knit tracer). Knitting a sweater, in the students choice of stitch, following the charting device. Based on video 2 lessons 8 -12.
