Ann Kite Home School for machine knitting is a member of both the British Association for Open Learning (BAOL), and the Open College Network (OCN). Many knitters say to us 'I am just a hobby knitter, I just want to knit a few garments for my family.' However, the fact that we belong to professional organisations is relevant to all knitters including 'hobby knitters'. The professional organisations of which we are members checked our work very thoroughly before allowing us to join. Membership of these organisations mean that we are producing good teaching materials and supporting our learners, in an appropriate way. It is through the OCN that we can offer nationally accredited to Machine Knitters.
